The GAN 249 V2 2x2 is the first massively produced 2x2 from the hugely popular cube maker. They tested the market with a preliminary version of the 249 in late 2017. Using feedback from those limited items, they made upgrades to produce a high quality 2x2 that is going to make many cubers very happy.
